Dr. Schuman is the Director of The Women’s Cancer Center located at the Chancellor Center for Oncology in Evansville, Indiana. He completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University and fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology and Breast Surgical Oncology at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Schuman is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. He is a member of the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG), Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and a fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). Gynecologic cancer and Breast Cancer surgeries are the primary clinical interests of Dr. Schuman. He has special interest in minimally invasive surgery especially laparoscopic single incision surgery and robotic surgery; cytoreductive surgery followed by hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC); and pelvic exenterations with urinary reconstruction for gynecological malignancies.
