Dr. Matthew P. Holtzman's clinical interests include the management of advanced gastro-intestinal malignancies, including liver, pancreas, gastric, and colon.  He works int he David C. Koch Regional Cancer Herapy Center to advance innovative regional perfusion therapies for peritoneal carcinomatosis, isolated liver malignancies, and metastic melanoma and sarcoma.

Matthew P. Holtzman, MD graduated Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a degree in Biology. He then proceeded to the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn where he received his M.D. degree, Magna Cum Laude.

He performed his post-graduate internship and residency at Boston University Medical Center. Following that, he obtained and completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Currently, Dr. Holtzman is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He is Board Certified in General Surgery through the American College of Surgeons.

He is an active member in multiple societies including Alpha Omega Alpha, the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
